Super Engine Brackets virtually eliminate offroad torsional forces snapping bolts or ripping the bracket from the case. Featuring more attach points than the original brackets, the design spreads engine block attachment stress loads. Left bracket features seven bolts, four more than the original. Right bracket features four bolts, one more than the original. Double-welded, all-steel construction for extra strength. No engine block modification necessary. The lipless Brown Dog engine bracket design eliminates interference between bracket lip and 2" Motor Mount Lifts. (Lips around edges of original cast brackets interfere with MML.) Super Bracket bolt holes line up with existing 4.0L or 4.2L Jeep engine block bolt pattern.
High Performance Classic Polyurethane 2" Motor Mount Lifts (MML) raise engine 2" at stock cooling fan. Brown Dog MML feature all-steel, double-welded construction. These high-strength MML bolt into the same location as the original Jeep motor mounts sold on the vehicle. Designed to stand up to the toughest trails Arizona can dish out. (Sorry Utah, we can't stand the cold.) When compared to the originals and most others, these are a substantial upgrade. The original mounts, designed for street driving, simply won't stand up to the torsional forces experienced offroad. Prefer Ultra-Flex Rubber to absorb drive line vibration? Ships with Grade 8 Hardware (or 10.9 metric equivalent) required to bolt engine brackets to existing engine block bolt pattern. Also includes new grade 8 thru-bolts, lock nuts and washers for securing brackets to motor mounts.
Application Notes:
Brackets utilize existing engine block bolt pattern found on most 4.0L and 4.2L (6 cylinder) Chrysler engines. Specify if no power steering.
