The Brown Dog has experienced a couple busted stock motor mounts himself, on his own Wrangler. This is why we engineered motor mounts and motor mount lifts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most aftermarket mounts, too.

High Performance Design.
We use steel and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test. We have yet to see a Brown Dog MM or MML with a structural failure.

Installation Notes

Engine remains in stock position.
The right (passenger side) bolts to a cradle which, in turn, bolts to pylon. If in good condition, you may wish to reuse your existing cradle. However, many customers have removed the mount to replace it and then saw the cradle busted into a couple pieces. You may want to order the cradle with the motor mounts.
Carefully inspect engine brackets for any excess wear, especially cracks. The original brackets weren't designed to handle the strength of these high-performance motor mounts. If engine brackets are needed, order the appropriate kit below.
- For 1991-1996 2.5L XJ, MJ, or YJ, order X2569-0 Kit which includes motor mounts, engine brackets and the mount support cradle.
- For 2.5L TJ, order K2569-0 which includes motor mounts and engine bracket, but does not include a cradle.
- Sorry, brackets currently not available for 2.4L Gas, 2.1L Diesel or 2.8L V6.
Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) snug.

Do NOT over-tighten locknuts on through-bolts.
Bolts to pylons should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight.

Application Notes.
Fits Jeep vehicles below with engine bracket opening of 3.25" or more on passenger side. Measure between bracket arms where the bracket and mount meet. If opening measures 2.75", use Brown Dog A2569-0. If opening measures more than 2.75", but less than 3.25", please call 866-401-3877 or email info@browndogindustries.com for assistance.
